Description

Amazon is hiring a Data Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale data infrastructure supporting analytics, AI/ML, and intelligent automation across Device Operations. The role covers batch and real-time pipelines, SQL and Python development, data modeling, ETL/ELT, AWS data platforms, data quality, documentation, and mentorship. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field, at least four years of relevant data engineering or related experience, and experience with SQL, Python, data warehouses, distributed systems, and AWS services.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field such as computer science, engineering, or statistics
Required Previous Experiences: 4+ years of data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics experience
Experience writing complex, highly optimized SQL queries across large datasets
4+ years of development, programming, or scripting experience with Python, Java, Bash, or Perl
Experience with data warehouse architectures, data modeling, infrastructure, ETL/ELT, reporting tools, data structures, and SQL coding
Experience with Redshift, Hive, Spark, HBase, Yarn, and Kafka
