Description
The Data Engineering Manager leads a team of data engineers in designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, integrations, platforms, data models, warehouses, and analytics solutions. The role translates data strategy into engineering initiatives, collaborates with business and technical stakeholders, ensures data governance, security, privacy, and compliance, and oversees performance, reliability, cost optimization, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities also include mentoring engineers, supporting complex data issues, and managing the team’s annual operating plan, budget, and forecasting. The position requires a relevant technical degree or equivalent experience, hands-on experience with data engineering technologies such as Java, Python, Spark, Hive, Kafka, and SQL, and experience with cloud or distributed data environments.
