Description
CNRS is hiring a Data Engineer / Software Development Engineer for a one-year fixed-term contract in Plozéven, France. The role develops and implements Python tools and reproducible scientific workflows for accessing, validating, structuring, and processing satellite and model data within the GRID4EARTH / Destination Earth project. Responsibilities include DGGS/HEALPix indexing, cloud-optimized data and catalogs, JupyterLab and xarray development, performance evaluation, interfacing with project partners, documentation, and user support. The position is full-time, based in the SIAM team at UMR LOPS, and requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, Python, Jupyter, Git, data manipulation, distributed computing, Linux, and French; English is also mentioned.
