The role owns data pipelines, platform reliability, governance, observability, stakeholder communication, and AI-forward development, while managing engineers and translating business strategy into technical plans. Candidates need at least three years of data engineering team management experience, five years of hands-on data engineering experience, four years of Databricks experience, cloud and distributed computing expertise, and strong communication and client-facing skills. The role offers $130,000–$200,000 annually in total cash compensation, with a New York City range of $162,500–$250,000, and includes medical, dental, and vision insurance among other benefits.
