SIFT is seeking a highly experienced Data Infrastructure Engineer to redefine how modern machines are built, tested, and operated. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building a horizontally scalable platform for ingesting millions of hardware sensor data points per second, developing durable, efficient database solutions, and pioneering data architecture by integrating recent innovations in streaming and storage. This role involves working on complex backend systems designed to ingest, store, and serve millions of high-frequency data points per second, enabling faster iteration cycles for leading engineering teams. The ideal candidate will contribute to defining engineering culture, standards, and processes, collaborating closely with peers on architecture, design, code reviews, and scaling strategies.
