Description

Applaudo is hiring a Data Engineer to build and maintain ETL and data-integration pipelines connecting Zuora REST APIs to a GCP data warehouse. The role uses TypeScript/Node.js and Python, GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub, advanced SQL, data-quality controls, monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD workflows. The engineer will also investigate pipeline failures, support reliable data movement, collaborate in an async-first distributed team, and overlap with Pacific Time primarily between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. PT.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, integration development, or related roles
Production experience building ETL or data-integration pipelines using TypeScript and Node.js
Strong Python experience focused on data-pipeline development
Hands-on experience with GCP services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub
Experience integrating REST APIs using OAuth 2.0, pagination, error handling, and retry mechanisms
Experience developing data-transformation logic and data-quality validations
Experience working within established architectures, coding conventions, and CI/CD workflows
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Zuora REST APIs and ZOQL
Knowledge of the Zuora billing object model, including subscriptions, invoices, and payments
