Syms Strategic Group is hiring a full-time Data Platform Engineer for a remote, U.S.-based Veterans Affairs role. The position leads the modernization of a healthcare data platform from an MSSQL XML object store to a scalable AWS architecture, including data storage and query architecture, migration planning, reporting and query layers, metadata management, performance optimization, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code. Candidates need at least eight years of software or data engineering experience, strong AWS and SQL expertise, healthcare data experience, and a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
