KBR is hiring a full-time, onsite Data Processing Systems Engineer to support the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The role leads the design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of scientific and engineering software systems, defines requirements and test plans, manages schedules and configuration changes, evaluates vendor software, and mentors engineers. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, at least eight years of progressive systems engineering or software development experience, and the ability to lead complex system design and integration efforts. The position requires three years of continuous U.S. residency for government security credentialing and the ability to obtain and maintain a national agency check and background investigation.
