Description
The Canal & River Trust is hiring a Data Protection Officer for its Assurance division. The role provides independent oversight of data protection compliance, leads a risk-based assurance programme, manages ICO communications and data subject rights, advises on breaches and third-party processing, champions privacy by design and DPIAs, and supports senior leaders on privacy risks. It requires significant experience in data protection, privacy, information governance, regulatory engagement, and complex DPIAs, with a 37-hour Monday-to-Friday pattern and remote working with occasional attendance at main hub spaces. The annual base salary is £75,000–£85,000, dependent on experience.
