Microsoft is hiring a Data Scientist to own end-to-end delivery of strategic data science and AI projects for consulting engagements. The role involves translating business problems into predictive, prescriptive, and generative AI solutions; preparing and modeling large datasets; developing scalable production code; evaluating large language and foundation models; presenting insights to senior stakeholders; and advising customers and internal teams on responsible AI practices. Candidates need a doctorate or a master's degree with relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least two years of data-science experience, with equivalent experience also accepted. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $102,100 to $202,200 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
