Red Alpha is seeking Data Scientists for various levels to join their Data Science practice, which originated from their reputation in Software and System Engineering with DoD clients. The team adopts a pragmatic approach to Data Science, emphasizing technical expertise, business acumen, and soft skills to solve business problems using data. They prioritize practical solutions over complex algorithms and encourage diversity in team composition, welcoming individuals with varied backgrounds such as traditional Data Scientists, Applied Research Mathematicians, Database Engineers, and Full Stack Developers. The role involves supporting enterprise data implementations, performing end-to-end systems engineering for data flows, enabling automation, expanding data streams, transforming data, focusing on business analytics, and characterizing workforce metrics. Candidates must possess proficiency in scripting languages like R or Python, familiarity with various data science techniques, and a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Senior-level candidates require extensive experience managing teams. Additionally, applicants must obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance and demonstrate a broad range of knowledge in IT, technical architecture analysis, and development methodologies like Agile. Exceptional interpersonal skills are highly valued, along with experience in programming languages such as Java, C, or compiled languages, and familiarity with tools like SQL/NoSQL, Spark, Hadoop, JavaScript, Docker, GitLab, and React.
