Description
Stripe is hiring a Principal Engineer to scope, design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and large-scale systems handling billions of money movement requests. The role also involves translating product requirements into technical specifications, reviewing API launches, coordinating with other teams, mentoring early-career engineers, and establishing engineering principles. Candidates need a master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field plus five years of data science or quantitative modeling experience, or a bachelor’s degree plus seven years of related experience, along with extensive SQL, Python or R, modeling, experimentation, and product-strategy experience. The position offers a base salary of $193,232–$288,000 per year, 40 hours per week, and 50% telecommuting.
