Description
Vodacom is hiring a Data Scientist for its Group AI Factory to design, develop, evaluate, and operationalize machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI solutions. The role partners with business stakeholders and technology teams to build predictive, forecasting, propensity, and optimization models; develop LLM-based applications using RAG and prompt engineering; create agentic workflows; and support production deployment, monitoring, documentation, and responsible AI governance. The position is based in Midrand, Vodacom Campus, and requires a relevant bachelor's degree or higher, 2–5 years of data science or artificial intelligence experience, and strong Python and SQL capabilities.
