Description
Sperry Rail is hiring a Data Scientist to join a new US data science team and build retrospective scoring of rail-detection analyst dispositions. The role evaluates whether analysts made sound decisions given the information available, quantifies variation across analysts, shifts, territories, and test conditions, identifies causes of missed or misinterpreted defects, and translates findings into training, review guidance, tooling, and threshold improvements. The work involves Python, SQL, applied statistics, supervised machine learning, experimental design, code development, and communication with analysis, engineering, and operations stakeholders.
