Amazon’s Optimal Sourcing Systems team is hiring a Data Scientist II to build models and analytical solutions for supplier capability measurement, supply disruption response, inbound freight prioritization, purchase-order lifecycle management, vendor dispute evaluation, vendor coaching, and collaborative inventory planning. The role involves causal inference, large-scale data analysis, scalable measurement systems, technical standards, and mentoring, and requires at least two years of data science or similar experience, two years of SQL or Hadoop/Hive experience, three years of machine learning or statistical modeling experience, and a master’s degree in a quantitative field or a bachelor’s degree with five years of quantitative experience. The position is based in Bellevue, Washington, with a base salary of $136,000 to $184,000 annually.
