Microsoft is hiring a Data Scientist PhD Intern for its Commerce, Content, and Monetization organization in Redmond, Washington. The intern will own scoped data science projects, analyze large-scale behavioral, content, commerce, and advertising data, design and interpret experiments, apply causal inference, statistical modeling, machine learning, and evaluation methods, develop metrics and monitoring approaches, and collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders. The role requires a current relevant doctoral program and at least one additional quarter or semester of school after the internship, with ongoing applications accepted through the academic calendar. Base pay is USD $6,810.00–$13,480.00 per month, with a higher range for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
