SMS group is hiring a Data Scientist to combine machine learning with steel-production domain knowledge. The role develops and deploys hybrid, physics-informed, and residual models; builds virtual or soft sensors; performs end-to-end data science from scoping through production deployment; monitors model performance; and collaborates with engineers, customers, and cross-functional teams. The position requires a relevant master’s degree or 2+ years of experience, production AI/ML experience, Python and SQL skills, and willingness to work on-site and travel to customer sites.
