Description
IFS is hiring a Database Administrator for its CCOE Database Services Team to design, automate, and support Oracle database systems used by Unified Support, Cloud Services, R&D, and customers. The role covers daily operations, backup and restore, performance tuning, disaster recovery, monitoring, automation, troubleshooting, and escalation of database issues, while collaborating with multiple technical teams. It requires at least five years of Oracle database administration experience in cloud or enterprise IT service delivery, three years of shell-scripting experience, and strong knowledge of Oracle, Linux, Windows, cloud technologies, and related database operations. The role is primarily on a 24/7 nine-hour shift, includes remote work with occasional office attendance, and requires the candidate to live in Japan within commuting distance of Tokyo.
