Salmon is hiring a remote PostgreSQL Infrastructure Engineer to own and operate a high-load PostgreSQL environment handling approximately 20,000 transactions per minute. The role covers database administration, zero-downtime migrations, incident and performance management, query and schema optimization, AWS RDS and Aurora infrastructure, Terraform, and collaboration with development teams. Candidates should have 3–5+ years of software or data engineering experience, strong PostgreSQL knowledge, and familiarity with Linux, monitoring, automation, AWS, CI/CD, Git, and containerization.
