Zoox is hiring an onsite Database Engineer in Foster City, California, with five days in the office and a 40-hour work week that may include flexible hours. The role designs, builds, and operates scalable and secure database solutions; partners with application and data teams; manages AWS database infrastructure; optimizes performance, security, capacity, and reliability; and supports troubleshooting, documentation, and infrastructure improvements. Required qualifications include AWS and infrastructure-as-code knowledge, database engineering or DBA experience, database management system expertise, SQL and query optimization, data modeling, performance tuning, backup and disaster recovery, and security knowledge.
