Description
The Database Engineer will support the ESCAPE program and broader enterprise data initiatives by designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance relational database systems. Responsibilities include SQL database development, data pipeline and integration workflows, performance optimization, legacy system migration to a cloud-based operational data store, data governance and security compliance, backup and disaster recovery, automation, documentation, and operational support. The role requires at least five years of database engineering or administration experience, SQL and relational database expertise, cloud platform experience, data modeling knowledge, and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; DoD 8140 qualifications and Secret clearance are preferred. The starting salary is $115,000 annually.
