Amazon is hiring a Database Engineer III in Seattle to design and develop database automation, monitoring, anomaly detection, troubleshooting, and cost-management tools; lead database launches and scaling for Fulfillment Centers and External Fulfillment Platforms; optimize production environments; implement recovery solutions using AWS; migrate applications between RDBMS and NoSQL technologies; and mentor junior engineers. The role requires a master’s degree or equivalent with one year of experience, or a bachelor’s degree with five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience, plus one year of experience with RDS, SQL, UNIX shell, database migrations, NoSQL databases, and a procedural programming language. The position offers 40 hours per week, an 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule, and a salary range of $149,989 to $197,400 per year.
