Amazon is hiring a Database Engineer III in Seattle, Washington. The role designs and develops scalable database automation solutions, advises software engineers on database internals, performs database benchmarking, handles on-call incident response and troubleshooting, and leads database architecture and best practices. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience, with one year of experience in database automation, benchmarking, PL/SQL and Java tooling, database roadmap specifications, customer solutions architecture, and on-call support. The schedule is 40 hours per week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a base salary range of $155,542 to $197,400 per year.
