Viridien is hiring a Database Engineer to design, maintain, and optimise MongoDB and relational database platforms supporting global production systems and high-performance computing workloads. The role covers MongoDB sharded clusters and replica sets, PostgreSQL administration, monitoring, performance tuning, backups, recovery, high availability, troubleshooting, and collaboration with software and infrastructure teams. Candidates need a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, production MongoDB administration experience, PostgreSQL or enterprise relational database experience, and knowledge of backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies. Preferred qualifications include distributed database experience, database automation, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, DevOps practices, data modelling, SQL, and database testing.
