Description
The Database Engineer will architect and optimize SQL and vector database infrastructure for a large-scale RAG platform serving enterprise design data. The role covers database architecture, scaling, data ingestion pipelines, hybrid search, index and embedding optimization, monitoring, disaster recovery, and full-stack development with Python and JavaScript. It also includes mentoring engineers and collaborating with DevOps/SRE teams. The minimum qualifications are proficiency in Python or JavaScript, production experience with vector databases such as Milvus, Qdrant, or Weaviate, production experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, RAG pipeline knowledge, and a bachelor's degree plus 10 years of relevant industry experience.
