InterSystems is hiring an experienced developer for its database kernel team to design, implement, and enhance core components of the InterSystems IRIS database engine and its embedded programming language. The role focuses on low-level system software in C and some C++, including algorithm optimization, concurrency control, memory ordering, operating system and hardware interactions, API development, debugging, and documentation, within a small team offering high impact and independence. The position requires 10+ years of low-level system development experience, strong computer architecture and operating systems knowledge, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
