Bloomberg is hiring a Database Platform Engineer in Dublin to own and evolve the Oracle database and search platform supporting its Data License Plus service. The role covers Oracle lifecycle management, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, migrations, automation, security, monitoring, and incident response across on-premise and hybrid environments. Candidates need substantial production Oracle experience, knowledge of an adjacent platform such as PostgreSQL or Elasticsearch, strong Linux and systems-automation skills, and experience with Git, CI/CD, and production change management.
