Description

CMT Services Inc. is hiring a Databricks Engineer for a one-year contract at the University of Maryland Global Campus in Adelphi, Maryland. The role will design, build, and operate a Databricks-based data and AI platform using Medallion Architecture, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, ELT pipelines, data governance, security, and MLOps practices. The engineer will integrate enterprise systems such as PeopleSoft, D2L, and Salesforce, support Azure or AWS data storage, and enable data scientists and AI/ML teams. The position requires 40 hours per week with no overtime and is intended for an experienced candidate.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark for large-scale data engineering
Experience implementing Medallion Architecture and data versioning and schema enforcement in enterprise environments
Experience integrating PeopleSoft, Salesforce, and D2L into centralized data platforms
Familiarity with data governance, lineage tracking, and metadata management tools
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog for metadata management and access control
Experience deploying ML models at scale using MLflow or similar MLOps tools
