Description
The Databricks Performance and FinOps Engineer owns compute strategy, workload tuning, cost visibility, and cost-control policies across Databricks platforms. The role analyzes Spark and SQL workloads, tunes performance, defines compute strategies, builds cost allocation and chargeback reporting, enforces autoscaling and cluster policies, establishes performance baselines, and advises on Photon adoption and instance selection. It requires at least five years of data or platform engineering experience focused on performance, along with Spark tuning, Databricks system tables, cloud pricing, SQL, and Python skills.
