The employer is hiring a Databricks Platform Engineer for an eight-month remote contract to implement and operationalize Databricks platform capabilities on AWS. The role focuses on metadata-driven ingestion frameworks, batch, incremental, and CDC pipelines, observability, data quality, Unity Catalog governance, and CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions and AWS Secrets Manager. Candidates need 5–8 years of data or platform engineering experience, at least three years of hands-on Databricks experience, strong PySpark and SQL skills, and experience with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Git-based development.
