Description
AWS Infrastructure Operations is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer to maintain and operate the electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, and other critical infrastructure supporting AWS data centers. The role manages corrective and preventative maintenance, facility incidents, planned and unplanned site work, vendor and contractor oversight, performance reporting, change and incident management, and projects improving capacity, efficiency, safety, reliability, and sustainability. It requires critical facilities management experience, a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field, and vendor management experience; data center engineering experience and knowledge of mission-critical systems are preferred. The role may involve on-call rotations and shifts of up to 12 hours.
