Description
Amazon is hiring a DCEO Principal Engineer to lead infrastructure operations for AWS Data Center Engineering Operations in the Americas. The role oversees electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems and is accountable for safety, security, availability, and operational excellence across expanding AWS data centers. The engineer will lead cross-functional teams, guide technical strategy, develop team members, and troubleshoot mission-critical equipment, including generators, switchgear, UPS systems, chillers, cooling towers, fire suppression, and building automation. The position requires at least 10 years of relevant facilities or data center experience, a bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field, and professional engineering registration or five years of senior leadership experience. The role is based in Hermiston, Oregon, with a base salary of $165,700 to $260,000 annually.
