Amazon Web Services is hiring Operations Technicians to support colocation data centers. The role supervises maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and safety equipment; resolves electrical and mechanical issues affecting data center availability; and helps reduce operating costs. Responsibilities include standby diesel generators, fuel systems, switchboards, UPS, STS, FPC, PDU, DAHU, CRAHU, CRAC, pumps, motors, VFDs, chillers, and building automation systems. Candidates need mechanical and electrical knowledge, at least one year of data center or mission-critical facilities experience, and an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
