Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Field Service Engineer [Customer Engineer] in Yokkaichi, Japan. The role serves as a customer liaison while installing, maintaining, and upgrading semiconductor and display equipment; using digital analytics and basic diagnostics; performing preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems; and coordinating with customers. The position requires an associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification, along with mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting experience, communication skills, basic Microsoft Office knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.
