Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Defect Metrology Application Engineer in Bangalore, India, to maximize the performance of defect metrology products through close technical collaboration with semiconductor manufacturing customers. The role involves advanced imaging and image-processing algorithms for detecting, measuring, and classifying nanometer-size defects, contributing to product development roadmaps, and performing performance validation. The position requires hands-on semiconductor fabrication experience, knowledge of high-NA DUV imaging or SEM, strong analytical and communication skills, and approximately 70–75% travel to overseas fabs.
