Description
The Dental Assistant diagnoses dental disease or injury, establishes treatment plans, performs fillings and extractions, and provides clinical supervision to assigned Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists. The role also participates in clinic productivity reviews, scheduling, care guidelines, staff meetings, referrals, hiring recommendations, performance evaluations, and continuing education, while maintaining OSHA safety standards and electronic medical and dental records. Applicants must have a D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited school of dentistry, two to three years of dental practice or community dentistry experience, a Michigan dental license, and the ability to use computers and work in office conditions.
