H2M is hiring a Department Manager for its Troy, New York office to lead the Mechanical Engineering department and oversee HVAC design and project management. The role directs staff workload, approves project scopes, budgets, and schedules, coordinates with other engineering and architecture teams, prepares construction drawings and specifications, manages client relationships, and supports construction administration and business development. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, a Professional Engineer license, at least 20 years of MEP experience with a strong HVAC focus, at least 10 years in project management and staff development, and experience working with local municipalities or government agencies. The salary range is $135,000 to $175,000 annually, with healthcare, retirement matching, bonuses, paid time off, and other benefits.
