The Department Manager supervises departmental floor operations in a retail store, ensuring customer service, visual merchandising, product availability, inventory control, and compliance with company policies. The role manages and develops department staff, conducts meetings and performance appraisals, and for the Multimedia department also plans schedules, implements up-selling and cross-selling strategies, and maximizes sales targets.
