COSMOS is hiring a Department Manager for Operating Systems and Database Services at NASA Johnson’s Space Center in Houston, Texas. The role provides people, technical, and organizational leadership for engineers, software developers, team leads, and interns supporting critical infrastructure and operating-system/database services for NASA human spaceflight missions. Responsibilities include staffing, resource and risk management, technical direction, performance and succession planning, change management, and communication with NASA, COSMOS, and other stakeholders. The position requires a bachelor’s degree, at least five years of relevant professional experience, and demonstrated leadership in software development, sustaining engineering, or mission-critical environments.
