Description
The Lab Teaching Assistant provides instructional support for undergraduate laboratory courses in the Department of Health Science & Human Ecology. Responsibilities include conducting and demonstrating laboratory sessions, guiding students, enforcing safety protocols, handling hazardous materials, grading lab assignments, tracking attendance, recording experimental data, and participating in departmental meetings. The position is temporary and part-time, requiring approximately 10–20 hours per week, laboratory work, and shadowing HSCI 1200 labs for one term before teaching. Applicants must be enrolled in a related graduate program and have laboratory experience; the advertised salary ranges are $3,245–$7,598 per month for academic-year Range 1 and $3,826–$9,576 per month for academic-year Range 2.
