CSUSB is hiring a part-time Research Assistant in the Department of Mathematics to support faculty-led research in algebra, combinatorics, and related fields. The role involves data gathering, literature reviews, computational experiments, research documentation, and use of computer algebra software and proof assistants such as Lean. It is available starting summer 2026 and may continue through fall and spring semesters, with a schedule of up to 20 hours per week. Applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduate students in mathematics or a closely related major, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and meet the stated qualifications; salary is $17.86–$23.84 per hour.
