Description
The United States Probation Department for the Eastern District of New York is seeking a Deputy Chief Probation Officer (Type II) to serve as chief operating officer and assist the Chief Probation Officer in administering and managing the department. The role reports directly to the Chief Probation Officer, oversees presentence and supervision divisions, manages Assistant Deputy Chief Probation Officers and first-line supervisors, supports budget and human resources, coordinates with other probation offices and criminal justice agencies, and may perform officer or supervisory duties. The position is based in Brooklyn, New York, with travel within the district required, and is open until filled.
