The Deputy Constable performs specialized law enforcement and clerical duties, including serving criminal and civil process, maintaining records, acting as a Justice of the Peace Court bailiff, conducting seizures and evictions, patrolling the county, responding to calls, assisting citizens, locating parties, and escorting inmates. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Texas peace-officer certification, a valid Texas driver's license, and the ability to pass a criminal history background check.
