Description
Wright County is accepting applications for the Deputy Sheriff role to fill current and future vacancies. The position starts at $39.00 per hour and may include an additional 5% increase for candidates with three or more years of experience as a licensed Minnesota law enforcement officer. The Deputy Sheriff performs protective services, responds to emergency and non-emergency calls, investigates incidents, prepares reports, testifies in court, maintains firearms and equipment, and may serve in patrol, school resource, narcotics, major crimes, court security, detective, civil process, field training, K-9, warrant, transport, boat and water safety, or other assigned units. Applicants must obtain a Minnesota POST license, pass medical, physical, psychological, and background evaluations, legally possess or carry a firearm, and hold a valid driver’s license or equivalent mobility.
