The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is recruiting sworn Deputy Sheriff I candidates to fill open positions beginning immediately. The role combines field work, including serving civil process papers, transporting prisoners and citizens, and maintaining custody in a small detention setting, with courtroom prisoner and courtroom security. Applicants must have prior experience as a certified Maryland law enforcement officer, complete required training and screening, hold a valid Class C driver’s license, be United States citizens, and be at least 21 years old on the first day of employment. The anticipated hiring salary range is $65,969 to $87,422.
