Description
Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is hiring a Deputy Sheriff Trainee to enforce laws, maintain order, protect life and property, respond to emergencies, conduct traffic and criminal investigations, perform patrol duties, collect and protect evidence, interview victims, witnesses and suspects, make arrests, execute search warrants, write reports, operate law-enforcement equipment, and communicate with the public and staff. The role requires physical readiness, successful completion of extensive pre-employment assessments, United States citizenship, a high school diploma or GED, age 21 by academy completion, Arizona POST standards, and a valid Arizona driver's license. The position operates in varied and potentially hazardous environments on any shift, 24/7.
