Description
The Department Director reports to the warden and directly supervises academic, vocational, recreation, religious, library, substance abuse, case management, records, and program-clerk staff. The role oversees treatment programs, case management, inmate training and counseling, security, budgets, policies, staff performance, hiring, reporting, and compliance with ACA, MTC, and Florida Department of Corrections directives. It requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, seven years of correctional experience including five years in management, communication and computer skills, a valid driver's license, and facility security clearance.
