Description
The Derrickhand assists the Driller by monitoring mud volumes, maintaining drilling equipment, managing mud supplies and circulation, securing pump lines, guiding drill pipe during tripping, and ensuring safe work on elevated rig levels. The role supervises Motorhand and Floorhands, assigns junior crew members tasks, drives mobile equipment as needed, and follows industry safety and company procedures. Candidates must hold H2S Alive, First Aid, eGSO, Confined Space Rescue, Fall Protection, and Rig Rescue tickets, have oilfield-services field experience, and ideally have supervisory experience or Rig Technician apprenticeship progression.
