Description
The Design Engineer I serves as a trusted advisor to internal and external customers, helping them design and implement communication solutions involving hardware, software, and licensing. The role researches customer requirements, prepares vendor configurations and pricing estimates, creates technical sales and marketing content, participates in customer enablement programs, and reports to the Director of Solution and Design. It requires at least two years of related experience, Avaya small/mid-market Design certification, and experience with Avaya/Mitel technologies; a bachelor’s degree and relevant communication certifications are preferred. The position is office-based with 10% travel and offers a base salary of $46,000–$61,000 plus total compensation of $50,000–$65,000, along with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.
