Description

Mueller Water Products, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer III – Simulation to independently perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. The role involves supporting the design, validation, and optimization of mechanical components and assemblies using established modeling practices. The engineer will evaluate various loading conditions, produce detailed analysis reports, and contribute to design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA) sessions.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 7+ years of progressive experience performing FEA and/or CFD in industrial or mechanical design environments.
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience with MATLAB and/or Python for post-processing, validation, or workflow automation.
GD&T knowledge.
Working knowledge of casting, machining, and manufacturing processes.
Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt.
FE/EIT or PE certification.
